A Glint of Gold

Well after many weeks of rehearsals our Easter production went brilliantly. The school hall was full of parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles and many friends who had come to watch us. A big thanks to all you fantastic parents and relatives who worked hard on producing your child’s costume, I’m sure you will agree they look fantastic. Year 3 and 4 you were all superstars! Miss Gibbons, Mrs Swallow, Mrs Brown, Mrs Fisher and Miss Gibson are all very proud of you. Well done.

Louth in the future

For our geography topic we have been predicting what a map of Louth might show and what the town will feature in the year 3000. Here are some of our ideas.

What do you think our town will be like by the year 3000? Post your thoughts below and we’ll look forward to reading your ideas.

The Goblin

Chapter 1

On Tuesday morning Molly, a nine year old girl, was moving house. She didn’t like it, she had a funny feeling something weird would happen. Her parents told her it was for the best. She opened the creaking, cold door to the house. When she walked into the house she thought she saw something run across the kitchen floor. The next morning her door creaked open! Something shuffled over her bedroom floor, she screamed. She locked herself in the bathroom, something banged on the door then suddenly, quiet. She opened the door, face to face with goblin staring at her looking sorry for themselves! Molly turned around facing the hallway, she ran upstairs,  looking for her mum and dad, but she couldn’t find them! Molly looked in their bedroom, but  couldn’t find them. “Where were they”, I muttered to myself. Molly ran back upstairs into her bedroom and her bed and cried. She had forgotten about the goblin but she was still afraid. But then all of sudden it went quite. Molly went downstairs step by step. There was something weird about the wall it was different. Instead of the wall there there was… a secret passage. Molly went in through the  passage, it was dark and scary. She turned to face the exit but a little voice said in her head keep walking so she did just that. Then she thought to herself no, this is wrong, NO! There was stone walls, it was cold and wet, spiders scurrying across the floor made Molly shriek inside. “keep coming closer” something echoed all around the passage!Something fell on her shoulder she didn’t look at it but she screamed and ran all the rest of the way.Molly lips turned blue, her face turned pale because she was so cold. Molly was still dragging her feet across the cold, wet, creepy floor she thought it was nearly night but still she kept going Molly was determent to get to the end of the passage. You mite have forgotten about the mum and dad but I haven’t  so lets get on with it. The goblin had thought they came to kill the tribe of goblins! The goblin named grumpy gave a stern look at them If you don’t now what their name is their name is Sarah and Mick. Molly on the other hand was making friends with a spider called Lucy. She was playing cards with Lucy.
